Moms Write Now

Sara is starting a writing group for Seattle Moms called Mom’s Write Now. Her vision is that moms and their babies come to mediated group sessions to write on a theme topic and share with other moms. A bit like a mommy and me group, but more focused on the moms.

Sara’s initial thoughts were:

I am imagining something kind of tattoo-like - simple clean lines, silhouette, more "Mom getting s$#% done" while caring for contented baby. I like the image of a mom being focused on her writing, while still being super connected to her baby (ha, perhaps that is a total fantasy ;) I would love it if the mom could be racially ambiguous, not easily viewed as white. Maybe something like Mom thinking or writing thoughtfully with her right hand, while holding contented baby in her left hand? Or maybe Mom is writing and baby is on the floor, happily playing with the MWN letters?

After much deliberation, we decided on this very clean hand-drawn version. Sara’s exact words were, “OMG, yes!!! Love this!! Like LOVE it!! This is what they talk about when talking about ‘sparking joy’ - it can happen with logos too!”
