Extreme Bake Sale is a non-profit website to teach people how to raise extreme amounts of money for their charities through extreme bake sales. Their target audience is primarily women aged 30-60 who are charitably minded and love to bake.

The client stated that the website design will be very clean, airy, and feminine and the logo should be a little whimsical but still elegant. They wanted a logo that was not too cartoonish but also not too serious; professional but not traditional. They requested baked goods and a cute kitten because the owner raises money for a cat charity.

I designed a cellophane bag filled with cookies as this is the quintessential bake-sale item. I felt that this image would set the client’s logo apart from a traditional bakery logo. The dollar sign cookie reinforces the fund-raising aspect. The cat cookie incorporates the cute kitten but is subtle enough that it is not seen as the focus of the brand.

This logo is also versatile. It is displayed here in a horizontal format for the website, but the bag of cookies is unique enough to stand alone as a logo mark on smaller applications. The individual cookies could also be used as icons across the website.

The client ultimately chose a different option, but I quite like this unique logo and the way it represents the client’s brand.
