Cactus Cat Clothing

CUSTOMER BRIEF
Cactus Cat Clothing will sell primarily trucker hats, but also other apparel accessories such as socks and boxer briefs online. The core line of Cactus Cat Clothing will be hipster, vintage, urban, floral print and trending (think taco, avocados, bicycles) snap back, trucker-style hats at reasonable prices.

While we want the logo to be somewhat edgy, it needs to be gender-neutral as well as creative. We're trying to avoid overly cute logos too. Our target demographic is mainly millennials ages 21-35, but anyone young at heart!

We envision the logo possibly being inspired(created) from a round cactus plant and a Japanese Lucky Cat (maneki-nek). Maneki-nek is a round, portly cat that always has one paw raised in the air and is a common figure in Japanese culture. However, the raised hand is not required in the logo design, just the general "buda" shape of the cat is what we're envisioning, but we leave it up to you and do not wish to contain your creativity.

In terms of the cactus, we think a sofa looking recliner (lazy boy style) could look cool with the arms rest being cacti, but feel free to get creative. It would be amazing if the cat almost appeared to be lounging in the chair.

While we envision the right designer being able to transform a cactus plant into a Japanese Lucky cat hybrid (possibly the belly of the cat being the round cactus), we are open to different takes on the logo as long as they utilize both components i.e., a cactus and cat or any combination of the two. This could take the form of a cat wearing a cactus hat for example or anything really.

At the end of the day, we want a hip, logo that is a little edgy, somewhat abstract, gender neutral and non-offensive. We also want to avoid a logo that looks overly clip -arty or too cute. Adding elements like sunglasses, a hat or using a smirk instead of a smile is a great way to keep the logo a bit more edgy like we want. We are hoping to really get something creative to match the creativity of the brand as we will be selling hats unlike any other brand!
